Knysna teenager launches massive cleanup venture

Knysna, Western Cape, South Africa – Knysna teenager, Sahara Thagunna announced earlier today that she is launching a Knysna clean up project in partnership with the Knysna Basin Project, SANparks Honorary Rangers, The Strandloper’s Project, Ocean Odyssey and others.

 

According to Sahara,  KNYSNA UNLITTERED is an initiative to clean up Knysna!  The group will be hosting 4-5 clean ups throughout 2020 and each one will be in theme with an important environmental day. 

 

Sahara further announced on her Facebook page that the first clean up will be in honour of World Wetlands Day on February 8th at the Thesen Harbour Jetties.

 

It’s going to be a whole lot of fun so make sure to bring your friends and family ’cause it’s time to get active for our planet!”. Sahara said
