About Colette Connolly

I’m an Irish transplant living in New York since 1986. For all of my working life (well, almost all of it!), I’ve been involved in marketing and p.r. I started out as a journalist for a small community newspaper in Westchester County, approximately 20 miles north of New York City and later transitioned to school communications, which gave me the opportunity to work with local public schools. In 2007, I established a freelance content marketing business, working primarily with small businesses and early-stage entrepreneurs. I have also freelanced for a number of different publications, focusing on topics related to health and wellness, instructional technology, travel, and education.

About Ireland On A Budget

Are you dreaming of going to Ireland? There are approximately 70 million people of Irish descent living across the world right now – Are you one of them? Or you could be living in Ireland, keen to support local business and explore Ireland on a budget. Here are the best tools to start planning your trip to Ireland.

You see, I truly believe there’s a budget to be found in every vacation getaway, including one to Ireland.

My goal in creating this blog is to uncover great budget finds throughout the island of Ireland (including Northern Ireland), whether they are in its cities or in rural, out-of-the-way spots.

Realizing that traveling abroad can be expensive no matter where you go, I’ll be doing my best to find you all the best deals in every corner of the Emerald Isle and to help you start dreaming of getting to Ireland now!
