The Castaway Experience
Several weeks ago, Ben Saul-Garner embarked on a unique adventure, spending approximately $3.7k to voluntarily isolate himself on a secluded Indonesian island.
The 33-year-old entrepreneur’s journey began with a flight from his hometown of London to Jakarta. From there, he hopped onto another flight to a regional airport. A car service then transported him to a remote pier, where he embarked on a rickety speedboat. For 90 minutes, he traversed the open ocean until he landed on a deserted expanse of land, covered in palm trees and thick vegetation.
As the boat departed, Saul-Garner found himself alone and with limited resources, marooned on this uninhabited island for a period of 10 days.
